Description

Take a step back into history with our latest deck of playing cards from the Heisey Glass Museum. This historical deck of playing cards takes on the look at 54 different cards with unique glassware from the past.

Not only does the deck feature historical photos of glassware, but the face cards are designed the way "souvenir" playing cards used to be! With the photos, historical facts and fun information the deck is designed to be what a deck of souvenir cards should be...a souvenir. It seems anymore when you find a deck of souvenir playing cards they will have a unique photo on the back, but then have normal faces. Using normal faces on the decks has become a cheap way for manufacturers to get around what used to be a wonderful collectible!

Take a step back into history with our latest deck of playing cards from the Heisey Glass Museum. This historical deck of playing cards takes on the look at 54 different cards with unique glassware.

In 1896 Augustus H. Heisey, a German immigrant, founded A.H. Heisey & Co. in Newark, Ohio. The company produced high-quality, handmade glassware that was sold throughout the country until the company closed at the end of 1957.

From elaborate sets of pressed ware in a range of patterns to delicate mold blown stemware, the company produced a wide variety of items for their customers changing with the times. On Heisey's glass, often available in color or with fancy etchings or cuttings, the Diamond H mark was a symbol of quality.

Casino style playing cards with a black-out center make this deck not only great for collecting, but great to play with.

We are currently selling Edition 1.0 that has a printing of a little over 1000 decks. Get your deck early before they're gone!
